'Paradigm Shift - Return of the Angels' is currently under production with I-universe, a self-publishing company. I continue to seek mainstream representation in the traditional marketplace. I would also like to extend an open invitation to have my work critically reviewed.

Can anything end faith-based conflict in our time? Hank Foster, a former Psych. Ops soldier believes the answer is yes. 'Paradigm Shift' tells the story of one man's attack of faith by staging an elaborate UFO hoax, and the incredible aftermath of his success.

Still brooding over the loss of his leg, and his life as an elite soldier, Hank Foster is recruited into a radical underground organization. They call themselves the Iconoclasts, idol-destroyers, and they have been steadily growing in power for decades. The Iconoclast goal is to end faith-based conflict by destroying faith itself. Impatient with the movement's cautious progress, Hank subverts the organization and uses their vast power to execute a plan he is sure will be the catalyst for the radical sociological change they have been striving for. He stages an elaborate hoax, fooling millions into believing they have seen a flying saucer over San Francisco. The carefully orchestrated media frenzy brings a question to lips around the world. What doest this mean?
Hank's hoax quickly triggers a chain of events, where a real alien presence threatens humanity, and Earth is rocked by catastrophe on a level never before imagined. Hank uncovers a conspiracy as old as time itself, and learns he is responsible for setting the calamity into motion, and what's more, he is the one man capable of revealing the truth that may save mankind.
On its exterior, 'Paradigm Shift' engages the reader with a visual, action-packed, Hollywood styled blockbuster, but on a deeper, psychological level, the reader is taken along the hero's mythic journey to ultimately confront the true nature of humanity. The plot is constructed upon the framework of Greek mythology, where by the protagonist follows his fate along a thread of global turmoil and alien invasion. The monomyth formula gives the structure needed to fully expound on the themes of humanity, religion, and existentialism. Emphasis has been shifted from the technology defining most science fiction, to the theological questions raised by contact with life outside our own. The subtly polemic arguments attack the current paradigm of understanding with a broad spectrum of evidence and theory. From Renaissance era paintings depicting flying saucers and Biblical scripture describing aliens as angles, to careful analysis of the psychology and history behind our current beliefs, 'Paradigm Shift - Return of the Angels' weaves together a story of great depth and meaning.
Written in a visually dramatic style, 'Paradigm Shift' will thrill readers who enjoy vivid storytelling, realistic characters, and well crafted, meaningful plot elements. The themes are geared toward freethinking people who desire thought provoking, exciting entertainment. Many of the elements are not new, but they have been arranged to tell an original tale with a fresh, unique perspective. Paradigm Shift has been awarded the Editor's Choice, and Publisher's Choice award from its current publisher.
